My name is Lisa J. Michaels, and I'm the developer,

designer and moderator for "YBR".

The idea for YBR came from my personal

need for a great, on-line critique group.

I needed a place where I could go to get help

from other children's book writers,

who are as serious about their craft as I am.

I wanted accountability and structure,

as I believed that it would take me to the next level

with regard to my writing ability.

Finally, I desired a place where I could connect

with like-minded, creative individuals who would

inspire me and lend their support in my efforts

toward further publication.

YBR is all that, and more!
